Addie Mooney, LAPC
As a therapist, my main goal is to create a space where it feels safe to explore and grow. I specialize in therapy for adult survivors of relational trauma (including childhood abuse, intimate partner violence and sexual assault) who would like to focus on healing the self and strengthening relationships. From years of working in survivor services throughout PA I have a strong understanding of CPTSD, emotional abuse and codependency. I am passionate about cycle breaking and strive to help clients heal in a way that feels safe, joyful and empowering.
My therapeutic approach incorporates a person-centered approach to narrative therapy, which means I want to hear your story. If you find you don’t know where you want to start with unpacking the past, I enjoy working with timeline exercises, creating lists and exploring creative approaches to identifying and processing strong emotions. I also believe narrative therapy can be a great tool for exploring intersectional identities that are so vital to understanding the self and oppressive systems that work against us.
We are living through wild times, but I truly believe healing is possible through all seasons. Therapy is not only self-preservation and self-care but a lasting investment in our most precious relationships. If you are interested in individual therapy and want to see if you think we are a good fit or ask questions, reach out anytime for a free 15-minute consult call!
