Parenting Kids with ADHD
Learn more about ADHD & parenting through creative exploration, reflection, and processing in a supportive environment! This group will be facilitated by Hanna Lee, an art educator and board certified art therapist with extensive expertise and lived experience in understanding and managing ADHD. Topics we will explore include regulation and co-regulation, your identity as a parent, executive functioning, child development, neuroscience, systems to try at home, and the unique strengths of your child.
No artistic experience or familiarity with art or therapy is required as art therapy is more about the process of artmaking and externalizing thoughts and emotions as well as reflecting and processing feelings, sensations, and experiences rather than what the final product looks like. In this space, there won’t be a certain way for you or the artwork to be, so you’ll be free to play, be curious, and express yourself without judgement while learning to best support yourself and your child. If you have limited access to art supplies, we can still get creative and make it work! This will be a small closed group of 6-8 to help build and maintain safety and trust.
